Toss bombing, or "the idiot's loop" This one throws the bomb over the shoulder but usually you would throw it forward and not flyover your target. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toss_bombing

The SR-71 is an amazing plane. In the cold war the US even used them to "constantly sonic boom" enemy gatherings and ceremonies just to fuck with them.

civil war veteran next to a F100 Super Sabre I just really like this image because the world has changed so much between civil war time and when the picture was made. Also small bonus fact: there are still 2 children of a civil war vet alive today, even though the war ended in 1865.

I already see some overlap between this and andrei's imagination thread but will post this here because this is my thread The PZL M-15 AKA Belphegor This strange Polish-Soviet plane holds some interesting distinctions. From the wiki page:

Sky raider with a "toilet bomb" dropped in vietnam. A malfunctioning toilet on an aircraft carrier was converted to be able to be mounted on the bomb racks, including a tail fin stabiliser.

The de Havilland DH 108 "Swallow" was a British experimental aircraft designed by John Carver Meadows Frost in October 1945. The DH 108 featured a tailless, swept wing with a single vertical stabilizer, similar to the layout of the wartime German Messerschmitt Me 163 Komet rocket-powered point-defence interceptor. Initially designed to evaluate swept wing handling characteristics at low and high subsonic speeds for the proposed early tailless design of the Comet airliner, three examples of the DH 108 were built to the Air Ministry specifications E.1/45 and E.11/45. With the adoption of a conventional tail for the Comet, the aircraft were used instead to investigate swept wing handling up to supersonic speeds. All three prototypes were lost in fatal crashes.
